No7 Make-up Artist Collection Nail Art Kit

Hello! I was so happy & ecstatic as I began to tear off the Christmas wrapping paper, to reveal these gorgeous shades of 4 Nail Polishes in Blue, Purple, Gold & Pink, a Top Coat Nail Polish, Pot of Gems & two Nail Art Pens in Silver & Black. They came beautifully packaged in a black & white stripey box, with a gorgeous black bow on top! If you like the sounds of this product, you can purchase it here! I have yet to actually try these products, although I can almost guarantee they will not disappoint you! I thought I must share these wonderful products with the rest of you!

Firstly, you are met with two Nail Art Pens in Silver & Black. They have a screw top, which reveals a very thin brush, which enables you to create intricate or simple designs on your nails, whether you are an expert, or simply want to play around with different techniques. No doubt I will be practising some designs, & I'll be sure to inform you on how I created them! Moving on, there is also a cap, which you can pull off, which reveals a metal nib, which will allow you to add further detail to your nail designs, such as dots, swirls, circles, etc. The packaging for these Art Nail Pens are also plastic, so you are able to squeeze every last drop of Nail Polish out, when you get too carried away! I am so excited to try these! I also love how they included a simple Black one, for more simplicity & also a Silver one, for a bit more sparkle & defentition to your nails.

Once I got passed the excitement for these, I struggled to tear my eyes away from these four Nail Polishes. I am very happy that they decided to included a variety of polishes - well thought out, rather than sticking to one theme.
The first one is this beautiful dusky pink, with undertones of purple. Its beautiful for Autumn/Fall time (shame the seasons are changing!), or for a more neutral nail, with more of a pop of colour This is the shade I am more excited to try out! Its a matte colour - not finish. Very pretty for all ages, too!
Next is a stunning Blue, with tonnes of sparkles! Its perfect for any night time look, to add that extra accessory to your look. This shade also has tiny shimmers of green & purple. Would look great against all skin tones, too! This would be absolutely perfect for New Years Eve! Entering 2012 with fabulous nails!
Moving across is another one I am really excited to apply to my nails, which is this lovely shimmery Gold. I think this would work perfect against any skin tone, & as its quite a neutral gold, with shimmer, rather than glitter, I think would work extremely well as a day time look, or night time & also all year round. This could be a perfect investment for you, if you're looking for a neutral colour, with that little, subtle something extra!
Almost done! We now have a deep, dark, plum purple. Like the pink one, this is again a matte colour - not the finish. What I mean by this, is it has no shimmers, sparkle, glitter, etc. Its beautiful for a night time look, & especially against a paler skin tone, to make it really stand out!
Lastly, they have very thankfully included a top coat. I already use No7 Base Coat & Top Coat, which I highly recommend, so I love I now have another little one, that will work beautifully with the rest of the contents of this product 7 make my nails luscious & shiney!

Before I wrap up this blog now, I better tell you about the final little beauties included you get 3 compartments in this little clear jar - there is also a black bottom, on the jar, so you can instantly see what gems you are about to pick out, rather than tipping them about & never getting them back in! You get little stars, circles & raindrops. I am so excited to try these. As they are small, I believe they will last a lot longer, as they will be less likely to catch on clothes, etc.

Unfortunately, I haven't tried these polishes out yet, so I can't determine & review the longevity, durability, number of coats you will need, etc.I am very much looking forward to testing these out. I would recommend these to any age group, for any occasion! This set will cost you £18.00, which I think is a great price for the quantity & quality you will be receiving! As far as I am aware, this set is selling for half price at Boots, which is linked about, for a limited time only - until stocks run out. So, I would be queuing up in Boots, if you want fabulous nails, in time to welcome 2012!

Floral by Paul Smith Eau de Parfum For Women

Hello! Now, I am aware this perfume has been on the market for a while, although I was given this as a Christmas present, which I look forward to using towards the summer season, as it is very, well.. floral! It has a lovely sweet scent. Although I am not a expert on perfumes, I do have the helping hand of the internet!

Some background on the product you may be interested in: Top Notes: Waterlily, Grapefruit, Ginger & Mandarin. Heart Notes: Orchid, Osmanthus & Magnolia. Base Notes: Wood Notes, Tonka Bean, Musk & Amber.

The bottle I was given, is a 30ml, which I believe costs originally around £23.50. You can find this product here.

Something I really like about this product, other than the contents - is the packaging. It comes in a white matte box, with a wonderful 70's, floral, bright, colourful design, which adds an instant pop to the packaging, to make it stand out! I also think the actual bottle is so original. I cannot compare it to any other perfume bottles I have seen. It almost remind me of a new born baby's bottle!

I am so excited for summer to come round, so I can spritz this. I haven't worn this yet, so I cannot determine how long the scent lingers on yourself, on clothes, etc. However, when I removed the bottle from the packaging, you could instantly smell the scent! I think this is a beautiful perfume, whether it is for a teenage girl, or grown woman. I believe it to be perfect for any age group.

If anyone has any questions, queries, etc, please do not hesitate to ask!

Thank you!

Deborah Lippman Razzle Dazzle Mini Nail Varnish

As with my previous products I have posted recently, I received this mini nail polish in the shade Razzle Dazzle, in my December GlossyBox. Wow! This colour is just perfect for the Christmas & holidays season. Its a gorgeous deep, plum red with some many shimmers! I am also in love with the shape of the packaging. Rather than your normal round shaped bottle, this one is a square, antique looking one. I think its so beautiful. Perfect to show off on your dressing table! I originally had a red coat of polish already applied to my nails, ready for Christmas Day, although I couldn't resist the urge to apply this over the top, as its just so eye catching. I want to wear this polish all day, every day!
Included with this polish, I received a Deborah Lippman The Stripper To Go, which is Lavender Nail Laquer Remover Finger Mitts. I have yet to try out this little sachet, so I can't say too much about it, although as far as I am aware & can gather, its a little mitt, soaked in nail polish remover, which will clean all 10 nails. I think this is a great little concept, as you can just through some of the sachets in your handbag, car, locker, bathroom, etc. Its so versatile.

As you can see from these photos I've taken, its just the most gorgeous polish! I really can't rave about this product enough. I cant say I've heard of this brand before, but I'm glad I was given the opportunity to try this out & discover it.
I'm sure I am not the only one this December to be applying this polish to their nails, after receiving it in their GlossyBox. & I'm quite confident there is plenty of great reviews on this product, as its just fantastic.
I can't state its longevity, durability, etc, as I have applied this over another colour, & without a top coat. I will also be applying other various polishes that I received over the Christmas holidays, so I have those to come! This product is also £16, which can be purchased here or here. They also sell some amazing colours. I could quite easily go on & on about how much I adore this polish, but I shan't!

If anyone has any questions, queries, etc, please do not hesitate to ask!

Thank you!

BLINK + GO Eyeshadow & Blush Palette

Hello! I received this little treasure in my December GlossyBox, which you can find here. Well.. I am amazed.
The first thing I noticed was is sleek, matte black packaging, with the bright vivid green title of product 'Eyeshadow & Blush', which I think works really well, especially when browsing through various counters, & all you want to do is instantly search for a wanted product! When beginning opening the packaging, I naturally decided to open the flap at the front of the box, which is slightly miss leading, as this only reveals swatches of the products, rather than the opening of the box. Although, you could say this is a nifty little deisgn, of you were aware of this, as you could open the flap to see what colours you were about to purchase. Once I opened this from the side of the box, it revealed a lovely glossy palette, with a white & green logo of the company, which gives a great pop against the black. It comes in a square design, with a circular opening & a button to open the product.

Once I finally opened the packaging & opened the product, I was pleasantly surprised with the colours. They include Green, Silver, Gold, Pink, Blue & Purple. All of these are very shimmery, perfect for Christmas, New Years Eve, celebratory events, nights out or if you're just wanting a pop of colour to your face. There is also included a mirror on the top of the product, which is very handy if you're on the move, etc. I also discovered two pink/peach Blushers under the Eyeshadows, with a double ended applicator & brush. I thought this was a great concept - beautiful products, packed into a small palette. 'BLINK + GO' is an absolutely perfect name - couldn't have thought of a better name.

I firstly decided to apply NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, to give a white base, to make the colours pop even more on my eyelids. Once I had done this, I applied a little e.l.f. Eyelid Primer, just to give an extra staying power for the shadows, to make them stick & last even longer. Once I had finished this, I applied the Silver colour to my inner eye, continuing on to the half of my eyelid. I chose the Gold colour for the remainder of my eye, & blended these with my e.l.f Crease/Blending brush.
The first thing I noticed, is you really do only need a tiny bit of product, as these are highly pigmented. I chose to press my brush against the powder & sweep against my eyelids. These shadows are beautiful & easy to work with, requiring minimal effort - great if you're in a rush or last minute night out!

Underneath the shadows, is there two lovely shades of blushes. Both pink, peach toned colours, one lighter than the other, perfect if you want a natural flush of colour to the apples of your cheeks, or something a bit more contoured & bright! I chose to apply the lighter shade to the apples of my cheeks, which warmed up my face.

I have to say, over all, I highly recommend this product. They are incredibly long lasting & pigmented. As the pans are small, you would think they wouldn't last particularly long - however, as you really only need the smallest amount, I think this is a great investment for £14.95|19g.
I am really intrigued to see what other products they offer in their range, & I can safely say I shall be visiting there site here - asap! From what I have so far seen, you can grab this palette in the shades 'Bright', which is this one, or you can also get 'Grey', which I believe would be fab for night time, smokey looks!
I can't say I have heard of this brand before, but I'm glad I have discovered it. I can't rave enough about it!

Here is a few snaps I took of my finished look. As you can tell, the colours are ultra shimmery, Perfect for brightening your eye up, especially if you suffer from those dreaded dark circles, that are a nightmare to cover up! Unfortunately, my camera didn't pick up the difference between the Silver & Gold shadow. Although in true form, there noticeably different.
This palette is perfect for anyone starting out in make up, a gift or purely if you're wanting to have a little splurge on a inexpensive, good quality product. I can't say I have any bad points about this product. It is what it says. I am very much looking forward to browsing through their other products & hopefully getting my hands on them. I can't recommend this product enough!

If you have any questions, queries, etc, please do not hesitate to ask!

Thank you!

Rituals Yogi Flow Foaming Shower Gel

Hello! I decided to give a new product that I received in the December Glossy Box a whirl. Well.. It certainly lived up to its claim of leaving you silky smooth & soft! It comes in a bright hot pink metal can, with a almost see through white cap. The packaging also entails a floral repeated design, which I feel gives a exotic feel. Very pretty as a personally purchase or a gift for someone.

The scent I received is Yogi Flow - Indian Rose & Sweet Almond Oil.

I found this to be a lovely sweet, floral scent with some fruity notes.
As soon as I soaked away in my bath, I removed the cap from the can & applied pressure to the nozzle of the can. The product came shooting out - unexpectedly! A small warning to anyone contemplating purchasing this product! As soon as I scooped up the mass amount of product from my tiled wall (luckily!), it firstly appeared to be a gel like formula. Once a few seconds had passed, to consistency began to form into a thick, luxurious, creamy foam, which I found wonderful. I naturally assumed foam would have immediately released from the can, although I was pleasantly surprised of the difference.
I continued on to smother my skin with the thick, gorgeous lather. I found that you really only need the tiniest of squirts when applying this, & releasing t from the can, as once the product has developed to its true self, it  becomes much larger than the original squirt.

Overall, I think this is a lovely product to use, I personally would recommend this, as its not your average bog standard foaming gel. If you're willing to splurge on £6.50 for a full size of 200ml, I would be queuing in the store or online right now.
There is nothing better than treating yourself to a lovely new product - especially something you've possibly not necessarily heard of before & falling in love. This product made me very happily surprised & I'm very happy that I was given the chance to use this.

Any questions, queries, etc, please do not hesitate to ask away!

Thank you!

First December Glossy Box Christmas Edition!

I first decided to subscribe to Glossy Box, after flicking through reviews & watching them. I wanted a personal Christmas present to myself, so I went & ordered this box. Which came just in the nick of time on Christmas Eve! Once I tore of the cardboard packaging, I was pleasantly met with a gorgeous red & in fact - glossy box! I would just like to mention, these images were taken early on Christmas Day, whilst I remembered. I do apologise about the shoddy quality, but I think it can be excused!

Once I lifted the lid, revealed thin white paper, which left you being  able to peek through. This was also tied up, with a  good quality, black bow. How pretty! There was also a gold & red shiny sticker, almost as their seal of approval!

Here I was met with a gorgeous selection of 5 various products. I was  unsure where to start! I firstly picked up the most beautiful looking product: Deborah Lippman Razzle Dazzle Mini Nail Varnish with Stripped to Go Sachet. Your eye instantly catches the sparkliest red glitter nail polish. As I opened this package on Christmas Day, I had already painted my nails red the night before, in preparation for the big day. I immediately panted to paint on this my nails, although I fought the temptation & decided to paint them later in the evening. I was so happy when I found this product in the box. It certainly is the most christmassy, festive & celebratory colour they could have possibly found for us! From the bottle, I highly recommend this product on the colour, however, as I have yet to try it, I can't say what its longevity & wear is like. This product is £16.00 full size.

Continuing on, I picked up Bionova Eye Wrinkle Treatment. As I at the tender age of 20, I wasn't sure whether to test out the product, as the product claims this particularly one should be aimed at the ages of 25-39, however, I believe that prevention is better than cure - so I may as well start early! The product came in a white box,, inside sitting a little glass jar, encased around foam, which gave it a luxurious, expensive feel - which I love! This product will most likely take quite a while to see anything noticeable, but I am curious & looking forward to the results. This product is £43.00 full size.

Then on, I discovered the BLINK + GO Eyeshadow & Blush Palette. After a little struggle, whilst finding out how to actually open it, I got there in the end - bearing in mind it was 7:00am! I found six beautiful, shimmery, glittery colours. Perfect for this celebratory season! Underneath, hidden away, was two blushers & a double ended applicator & brush. How neat?! I am extremely looking forward to testing out 7 playing with these pretty colours. This product full size is £14.95.

Moving on, I eventually picked up the largest product in the box, which I neglected, which was Rituals Foaming Shower Gel. The packaging ia bright hot pink with a scent of Indian Rose & Sweet Almond Oil. It smells absolutely divine.. well, depending on your personal taste! I cannot wait to try out this product tonight to see of it meets its claims of leaving your skin 'silky soft & smooth'. Fancy! This one is also full size, which is 200ml! Full size of this costs £36.50, which I think isn't too bad, if the product amazes you. I shall have to wait & see..

Lastly, I found lurking in  then bottom of the box, hidden away by all the crinkly pieces of white paper, was  Cargo Lip Gloss. I have yet to actually try it, so I am unable to give a decent review on longevity, true colour, application, taste, etc, although I will most likely update on this blog. The colour is a very pretty shimmery soft pink/peach, I'm unsure whether the application is sheer or not, but I think the colour would look very suitable either or..
This product full size is £10.00.

.

My final thoughts..

I believe this little box of special, luxurious goodies is an amazing concept & would be perfect for a girl of any age ( & Man now!), as you are able to create a beauty profile, which enables the Glossy Box people to select personalized products, just for you!

I have yet to properly & truly test the products out, as I only received the package today, although I am extremely happy with what was included, especially since this was my first box.

I have yet to decide whether I would like to continue on with my subscription, as I haven't played around with the products & looked at other reviews.

I would also like to take his opportunity to apologise yet again for the terrible images taken. It was 7:00am, & quite frankly I was too lazy (& excited as it was Christmas Day), to hunt for my camera!
If anyone has any questions, queries, etc, please do not hesitate to ask away. :)

Thank you!
