MUA Going For Gold Palette

As I browsed through the make up aisles of Superdrug for some new foundation (new post to some) & a new concealer, I casually drifted towards the MUA stand. I recently picked up the Undressed Palette (blog post here), which is amazing!
I immedietly noticed this golden squared off glorious palette & I snapped it up straight away, leaving two remaining, next to an empty Undressed Palette stand! Oh, let me tell you, I am happy!
This palette is inspired by the Olympics.
This pallete consists of just 10 shades, opposed to the original 12 circular pans.
I found it to be a refreshing change having square pans, however, I do like both!
I would say there is 8 shimmers & 2 mattes, although the shimmers range from super sparkles, to subtle shine.
Whether you blend out a sparkly shade, to tone it down, or pat on the shade -  you can create various looks from different textures, or just one.
The shades range from golden hues, to dusky silvers, alllowing you to create various looks you wish. I was first slightly put off by the palette, as I was unsure if I would actually get use out of a palette, mostly consisting of golds, however, they aren't as scary as I thought. You can definetly create a bold yellow gold eye look, or stick to a subtle smokey eye or a safe neutral eye. This palette is so versatile.
The pigmentation of these shadows is very strong. I would say the shadows with the least pigmentation would be Shade 2 & Shade 6, which are the matte of the palettes shades.
I am very happy that I got to pick up this palette, as it was only released on the 4th, along with the Undressed Palette. This is my secind palette by MUA I own, so its very exciting for me to be able to compare them. I am still after the Heaven & Earth palette, which I know is slightly unnecessary, as I now own two gold/neutral palettes, but I may as well to compare for you guys. You can never own enough neautral shadows!

Have you tried the Heaven & Earth, Undressed or Going For Gold Palette?
What are your thoughts?

Thank you!

    1. Oh, no! I wish I could get some of the products from the US readily available over here.

It's a lovely affordable palette, with really good pigmentation.

You could try eBay, but I doubt it will be cheap.

    1. I believe this is a limited edition, so knew I had to pick it up, along with their new neutral Undressed palette, comparable to Urban Decay's Naked palette. For £4, you are getting such an unbelievable bargain!

      You won't regret it!
